What do Louis Armstrong, Dizzy Gillespie, Clark Terry and Cootie Williams all have in common? They’re not only masters of the trumpet, but they are musical innovators that called Queens home. For the inaugural Trumpeters of Queens show, Josh Deutsch brings a set of original music for his energetic quintet, and Miki Hirose showcases music from his latest CD, “Scratch”.
