Ouchi Gallery
170 Tillary St #507, Brooklyn, NY 11201
he exhibition will have a group of artists competing for the first prize of having their design printed on T-shirts and sold in Japan as well as giving them the opportunity to have a week-long solo exhibition at Ouchi Gallery.
The theme of the Made In Brooklyn exhibition is, of course Brooklyn. The interpretation is entirely up to the artists, sharing their personal experiences about Brooklyn. Whether they live in Brooklyn, are a native Brooklynite, or had an intimate encounter with Brooklyn, the artwork does not need to be a literal representation of “Brooklyn.”
Gallery patrons will be able to vote via dollars. The audience votes for their favorite artwork by placing a dollar in each respective artist’s receptacle. The more dollars, the more votes. The victor will be determined by the amount of dollars their work raised. Best yet, all artists get to keep the money that was used in voting on their respective works.
Exhibition day: From Wednesday, October 23 – Sunday, October 27.
