Founded in 1997 by Welly Yang and other Asian American performers, Second Generation is a non-profit theater company dedicated to
• Creating contemporary, world-class Asian American theater that reaches across cultural, generational and racial boundaries;
• Cultivating the next generation of Asian American dramatic arts, by identifying and nurturing a vibrant community of actors, directors and writers from the established and emerging to the early-career and pre-professional; and
• Connecting with new and underserved audiences, especially young Asian Americans and other groups historically underrepresented in mainstream American theater, towards the establishment of a vital and effective platform for Asian American voices to be heard on the world’s stage.
Asian American Arts Alliance is dedicated to strengthening Asian American arts & cultural groups in NYC through funding, visibility initiatives, and access to new resources.
The Asian American Writers’ Workshop is a national not-for-profit arts organization devoted to the creating, publishing, developing and disseminating of creative writing by Asian Americans.
Inaugurated in 1979 under the authority of the Korean Consulate General in New York, the Korean Cultural Service works to broaden understanding of Korea and Korea-U.S. relations through cultural and academic activities. The Cultural Service sponsors and hosts many different types of activities, including art exhibits, film screenings, traditional Korean music and dance events, Korean food festivals, lectures, youth activities, and sporting events. The Cultural Service also provides information on Korea – U.S. relations and assists exchange programs between the two countries.
The Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA) is the leading museum dedicated to reclaiming, preserving and presenting the history and culture of Chinese people in the United States. Through its thought-provoking exhibits and programs, MOCA encourages dialogue among people of all cultural backgrounds.
Asian Cultural Center located in New York, Boston and New Jersey promotes the understanding and appreciation of traditional and contemporary Asian civilization, culture and heritage. Our goal is to bridge the gap between the East and the West by providing a cultural and interactive environment to understand Asia.
Asian CineVision is a nonprofit media arts organization dedicated to promoting and preserving Asian and Asian American media expressions by:
• Helping to develop and support both emerging and experienced Asian American film and video makers and other media artists working in a range of genres and styles; and
• Helping to ensure that the full spectrum of Asian and Asian American media works reach diverse audiences in Asian American communities and beyond.
