Columbia University Asian American Alliance invites you to our annual charity performance showcase: cultureSHOCK! cultureSHOCK will take place on the evening of Saturday, November 16th in the Roone Arledge Auditorium of Alfred Lerner Hall, Columbia University. Doors open and dinner will be served at 6:30 PM. The show will start at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $10 for Columbia University ID holders and $15 for the general public.
We are excited to bring cultureSHOCK back this year with an amazing line-up of performers that both student performers, and outside guests such as Bea Go, Awkwafina, Michelle Myers (from Yellow Rage), and Wong Fu Productions.
cultureSHOCK is a night showcasing the diversity of Asian American talent. This year, our theme is SURGE: a surge occurs when the few join with the many, coming together in solidarity for a common goal. We hope to celebrate the increasing visibility of Asian American talent, to recognize the challenges we still face, and to encourage students to build upon this surging momentum to make meaningful impacts in their communities.
We will be donating our proceeds to the Coalition for Asian American Families (CACF), a New York City based non-profit, and the nation’s only pan-Asian children’s advocacy organization that aims to improve the health and well-being of Asian Pacific American children and families.
