Job Description
The Knot Inc., a leading life event media company headquartered in New York City, is seeking a smart, professional, ambitious person to join our Finance Department as a Senior Financial Analyst

Key responsibilities include:

• Work with top management to compile budget/forecast information
• Attend quarterly budget/forecast meeting with department heads to discuss budget/forecast needs
• Maintain and support the budget system
• Actual vs. budget/forecast variance analysis and written commentary
• Various general ledger account analysis
• Verify payroll record
• Monthly financial close
• Preparation of Income Statement and various ad hoc analyses/reports
• Subsidiary consolidations
Requirements and Attributes include:

• Major in Finance/Accounting
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Financial Analyst
• Must have experience in budgeting/forecasting on both the divisional and consolidated levels.
• Experience designing budget models in a Hyperion-type system a definite plus.
• Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley a plus
• PC proficient with Excel, Word
• Detail oriented with superior organizational skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Flexible with job assignment
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
