Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY: Manage and prepare bank-wide budget process. Develop and maintain modeling and reporting for business unit profitability, asset liability management, transfer pricing, and interest rate risk. Prepare portfolio and acquisition analysis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Utilize IPS-Sendero Budgeting & Planning System to consolidate data and prepare the annual budget for review and approval by senior management and the Board of Directors
· Participate with the development and maintenance of modeling and reporting for business unit profitability including expense allocations and transfer pricing methodologies.
· Develop and maintain modeling to report on the Bank’s interest rate risk profile.
· Assist in the enhancement and production of the Bank’s various monthly management and board reports including variance to budget analysis with written commentary and interaction with business units discussing variance concerns.
· Manage the preparation, distribution, consolidation and reporting of the bank-wide annual budget process.
· Produce various reports to provide analysis and commentary regarding performance
· Utilize SNL Financial Online Database to access and research bank data, including branch mapping, demographic analysis, overlaying banking financial data with demographic/mapping tool and peer analytics
· Aid in M&A analytics, including scenario analysis, percentage of cash/stock mix, accretion/dilution analysis, imputed valuation, premium, synergy assumptions, CDI amortization, etc.
· Prepare analysis and reports for the Bank’s lending, investment and deposit portfolios.
Background and Experience:
· 3-5 years experience working in the banking industry
· College degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance, MBA a plus.
· Interest in learning all aspects of asset/liability management and budgeting & forecasting, including: interest rate risk, profitability analysis, and transfer pricing.
· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, Word and accounting software.
· Excellent organizational skills.
· Ability to make sound judgments and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
