The Filipino student organization at Cooper Union. Its purpose is to promote awareness of the Filipino culture in the Cooper Community. The club organizes potluck dinners, Filipino movies and food events as well as outings to Filipino restaurants. The Cooper Union South Asian Society hosts two major events during the year, the Diwali Party and the annual Culture Show. The Culture Show gives students from all backgrounds an opportunity to display their talents in various areas of the arts and also bring the entire school together for a fun filled night of diverse performances. As an organization the South Asian Society aspires to unite the Cooper Union South Asian community and allow others to learn more about the culture.
