Fashion PR Director needed for boutique creative communications agency
EXPERIENCE
At least 8 years US experience in public relations, including at least 6 years agency experience at senior level
Senior level Fashion PR experience vital
Proven track record of delivering high impact press coverage for across a portfolio of varied client business with an emphasis on fashion and experience within other categories – consumer goods, lifestyle, technology, entertainment and luxury
Outstanding strategic approach and new business pitch document writing
Understanding of and experience in brand marketing communications
Working knowledge of integrated campaigns where PR is one part of the marketing mix
Experience of working on big accounts ($40-50k per month) and big name brands. Proven ability to manage portfolio of clients and team $1million per annum.
In-depth knowledge of US media and first class fashion / consumer media contacts across broadcast, print, and digital
Strong contacts to expand product placement network and working knowledge of how to maximize opportunities
Understand and advise teams and clients on media handling including feature placement / interview briefings / developing Q&As / exclusives / embargoes damage limitation / celebrity endorsements and wider PR / marketing issues
Financially capable and organized, responsible for PR team profitability, client negotiation and reporting
Superior team management skills and experience
RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct, develop and deliver new business opportunities (incremental and new) to New York and Los Angeles offices
Build and maintain strong relationships with other departments and associate companies with the objective of getting the most out of their service
Nurture existing account and spot new, creative and financial opportunities
Develop solid relationships with senior level clients to offer consultative services and management
Stay contemporary and media savvy to ensure you and team are abreast of industry trends, developments and opportunities.
Oversee campaign and project reviews to provide clients with quantifiable and tangible results from their investment.
Client negotiation on fees, targets and reporting ROI / campaign effectiveness.
Responsible for team profitability, time analysis and stability
Monitor P&L, financial forecast for PR team and budget accordingly.
Monitor fees and advise on team’s time input.
Ensure department’s work is high quality, on brief, on time and on budget.
Ability to mentor team and motivate with energy and enthusiasm
Conduct performance reviews and support career development.
