Departmental Overview:
The Strategic Change Group (SCG) is a global function which focuses on delivering medium to large scale change (ie organizational design to technology implementation). The function sits within Operations and is closely aligned with the product processing teams as well as having strong working partnerships with Technology. Largely SCG is made up of dedicated Program Mangers, Project Managers and Business Analysts.
The Global Securities program manager is responsible for defining and implementing the change roadmap in conjunction with the Senior Securities Management team and the IT lead. Credit Suisse Operations is striving for a consistent global platform and while progress has been made, more has yet to be achieved
Key Responsibilities:
Change Management
- Responsible for the global management and oversight of multiple projects/initiatives
- Has direct (and matrix if global) management of multiple project managers
- Partners with the program stakeholders to define and agree program strategy and drive implementation of solutions
- Manages the regional and global program “book of work” and reporting
- Defines the deliverables and goals of the global program
- Identifies, manages and drives to resolution issues
- Responsible for all change in the program and driving it to completion
- Resolve cross project issues at a regional / global program level including resource balancing
- Interfaces with other change groups where needed
- Is the primary focal point for the IT relationship for delivery
- Manages the program headcount budgets and project budgets
People Management
- Engage in industry committees/forums, keep abreast of industry trends and share them with team
- Cultivate collaborative team culture and foster positive employee engagement
- Ensure succession plans are in place for all roles, including own role
- Lead human capital decisions around hiring, performance management, promotions, salary recommendations and terminations
- Ensure retention and development of top performers and be accountable for actively managing poor performers
- Provide career coaching and mentoring to team managers
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of securities processing from trade capture through to GL processing, inc. Prime Brokerage & Asset Servicing
- Minimum of 10 years in project & program management
- Demonstrated leadership skills, inc. the ability to innovate and drive change
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Excellent quantitative, analytical, & problem solving skills
- Formalized Project Management skills / accreditation (e.g., PMP, Prince 2)
