Job Description
Departmental Overview:
The Strategic Change Group (SCG) is a global function which focuses on delivering medium to large scale change (ie organizational design to technology implementation). The function sits within Operations and is closely aligned with the product processing teams as well as having strong working partnerships with Technology. Largely SCG is made up of dedicated Program Mangers, Project Managers and Business Analysts.
Change Management
- Manage multiple large projects with significant impact / complexity
- Develop, implement and maintain the overall project management plan, including risk management, issue management and communication plans. Must be capable of managing multiple projects concurrently as needed
- Prepare and manage relevant project metrics
- Ensure all requirements, project plans and changes to commitment are effectively communicated to all interested parties
- Measure and monitor progress at clearly defined points in the process to ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and that it meets or exceeds the sponsor’s expectations
- Responsible for overall execution of the project plan
- Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations, working with front office, IT and line operations groups
- Represent the project team at “client” meetings. Obtain buy-in from senior management for all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, quality assurance plans, budget, schedule, and scope changes
- Define team member roles and expectations, and ensure timely feedback. Ensure that project resources receive any necessary training and are used effectively
Qualifications
- Strong project management & business analysis skills
- Broad cross-product knowledge
- Strong experience with MS Office inc. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project
- Strong communication, influencing, negotiation, & presentation skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- 5+ years Banking / Broker Dealer Operations industry experience
- Broad understanding of Prime Brokerage
- 5+ years Project Management experience
- Managing large projects within the banking/broker dealer industry (desired)
- Project Management certifications (desired)
