Instead of TAPpy Hour this month, TAP is getting into the spirit of March Madness and supporting a great cause with a flip cup tournament and bone marrow drive. Bring your A-game and get ready to make a difference!
For many patients with blood cancers, a bone marrow transplant can mean the difference between life and death. But patients can’t get a bone marrow transplant from just anyone – they need a match, and the chance of finding that match for Asian Americans is 20% lower than that forCaucasians. There’s an unmet need, and you can help – by coming out to our flip cup tournament!
Sign up as a team of five or as a free agent (we will pair you with teammates) and get ready to fight your way out of your bracket while supporting a great cause! We’ve reserved the legendary flip cup bar, Blarney Stone, for the tournament, and representatives from NY Blood Center will be on site to assist members in signing up for the bone marrow registry (a simple and painless process). This is the beginning of a national initiative among all TAP chapters, so get thirsty!
