Nathi “Black Coffee” Maphumulo was born in Durban, South Africa and studied Jazz music at the Natal Tech. In 2003, Black Coffee was chosen as one of two South African participants in the Red Bull Music Academy catapulting him into the South African DJ scene. For the past decade, he’s been proving his talent both as a DJ and producer, with hits like “Even Though,” “Garden of Eden,””Juju,” “Crazy” and of course, his international smash hit “Superman.” Recently, Black Coffee has been busy with his own production project called “Africa Rising,” as well as racking up the awards, including two South African Music Awards, and an MTV Europe “Best World Wide Act” nomination. Black Coffee was even named GQ “Man Of The Year” in South Africa for his achievements in music and for the work is charity work.

DJ Spoko, born Marvin Ramalepe, was raised in the rural town of Tzaneen in northern South Africa, where he began producing on at age 12. For three years in the early 2000s DJ Spoko studied in the studio of Nozinja, the creator of the hyper-speed, hip-shaking Shangaan Electro style. Spoko went on to build his own studio in Atteridgeville, where he produced numerous full-length cassettes with names like ‘Grave Yard Session’ and ‘The All C’Ing I’. Following the success of his tapes Spoko’s Ghost Town EP was released on True Panther Sounds. In 2014 Spoko will release his debut album on Lit City Trax, a collaborative EP with DJ Mujava on True Panther as well as music from his new band, Fantasma!
