Vernon Blvd between 50th Ave and 46th Ave
Saturday, May 17at 1:00pm – 6:00pm
The Long Island City Partnership will host the first-ever LIC Springs! block party – complete with free performances, art displays, family-friendly activities, and culinary attests of the neighborhood – on Saturday, May 17th.
LIC Springs!, which is part of the New York City’s Department of Transportation’s Weekend Walks program, is a free, afternoon-long festive block party on Vernon Boulevard, from 50th Avenue to 46th Avenue. The event will shut down Vernon Boulevard to vehicular traffic, and run from 1 to 6 PM, with performances on nearly every block – including a main stage . The event will be held rain or shine.
The event coincides with the wildly popular LIC Arts Open festival and the weekend’s LIC Flea outdoor market – creating a day of activities throughout Long Island City.
Volunteers are needed for this event! Please sign up to volunteer by emailing rhamlett@licpartnership.
We look forward to celebrating the LIC community with you on May 17!
