Taiwanese American Association of New York – TAANY (大紐約區台灣同鄉會) is excited to continue its “Dinner & Discussion” series with an evening titled “Art for Advocacy.” For this event we will focus on protest art, or the use of art for advocacy and activism.
We are honored to feature Liu Tsung-Jung (劉宗榮), an activist artist from Taiwan, who will present some of his art work as well as speak about his involvement in the Sunflower Movement 太陽花學運 in Taiwan.
This is also a BYA event – we invite and encourage you to bring your work that is activist or political in nature to share with everyone. Poetry, protest signs, films, songs – whether you are professional artist or not, we welcome you to come & share your story and your work!
