Overseeing daily requisition process
-Storage control for Asiate wine wall and service bar
-Purchasing wine
-Receiving and ensuring correct deliveries
Cellar Maintenance
-Selling of wine during service (requires knowledge of wine list and making appropriate recommendations based on guest’s choice of food and personal preferences).
-Talioring specific food and wine pairings for VIP guests
-Monthly inventory counts
-Training of colleagues
-Assuring correct product placement in all outlets
-Assisting Wine Director in ongoing projects for all outlets: Asiate, MoBar, Lobby Lounge, In Room Dining, Private Bar, and Banquets.
Job Requirements:
-Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a luxury restaurant operation
-Entry level course of study with Wine Assoications (eg) American Sommelier Association, Court of Master Sommeliers, Wine & Spirit Education Trust
-Restaurant and or Retail experience that has involved selling of wine and guest realtions
-Knowledge of international wine regions, varietal differences, basic food and wine matches, an interest in other beverages including sake and all liquor
-A passion to learn, communicate, and the desire to be part of building an exciting and unique wine program
