BROADWAY SINGS FOR PRIDE is back with an all new charity event for NEW YORK CITY GAY PRIDE 2014!

Broadway Sings for Pride will celebrate NYC Gay Pride by holding with their fourth annual Gay Pride benefit concert with over 15 Broadway shows represented and countless artists! The special one-night benefit entitled “ANTHEM” will feature songs that embody gay perseverance marked by an array of musical performers from the world of Broadway, pop and beyond! Audiences will join the celebration by hearing some of their favorite New York performers take on pop hits, mashups, and Broadway classics. The charity event will be held at Toshi’s Living Room & Penthouse, the best live music bar NYC and best rooftop bar NYC, at West 26th Street, between Broadway & 6th Ave on Monday, June 30, 2014 at 8pm. The event will benefit Hetrick-Martin Institute and Broadway Sings for Pride. Broadway Sings will also team up with Broadway Serves (http://www.broadwayserves.org) to promote their inspirational volunteer initiatives.

Guest speakers and artists scheduled to appear include: Gail Marquis (Silver Medal Olympian, New York City Basketball Hall of Fame inductee), Leeds Hill (Cabaret 2014 Revival), Chondra Profit (Disney’s The Lion King on Broadway), Marisha Wallace (Disney’s Aladdin on Broadway), Rebecca Larkin (Broadway’s South Pacific & Avenue Q), Ben Cameron (Broadway’s Wicked & Aida) Heather Parcells (Broadway’s A Chorus Line Revival, Wonderland), Jessica McRoberts(Broadway’s Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark, Maury Yeston’s Nine), MJ Rodriguez (Rent at New World Stages, 2011 Clive Barnes Award Winner), Kyle Motsinger (Off Broadway’s Fancy Nancy The Musical), Brian Craft (Off Broadway’s Let My People Come), Noreen Crayton (Rent: National Tour, Award-winning Gospel Artist), Megan Elyse Fulmer (Shrek The Musical: National Tour), Elissa Goldstein (NBC Universal’s An Affirmative Act, Disney’s National Tour of Grease On Ice), Athena Reich (Award-winning host, Recording Artist), Rachel Lorin (star of Oxygen Network’s The Next Big Thing, Recording Artist). Michael O’Connor (Fashion and jewelry expert, Reelz Channel, MovieStyle), Lindsay Lavin (Broadway Sings TV, Seth Rudetsky’s Broadway), Adam Shapiro (HBO Film’s The Normal Heart), Valerie Smaldone (5-time Billboard Magazine Award-winner, WOR Radio), Louise Stewart (Mary Poppins National Tour), Jennifer Fouché (Sistas the Musical), Tym Moss (Girl, A Lopsided Tree Won’t Ruin Christmas).

Neal Bennington of www.NealB.tv will produce the event in association with Artists Proof Productions and Dougie Meyer. Charles Santoro (Off Broadway’s Silence! The Musical) also will serve as the musical director/arranger and pianist. He will be joined by David Cinquegrana on guitar, Joe Mankin on bass guitar, Michael Pagnotta on woodwinds, and John Ferrari on percussion.

Broadway Sings For Pride is a non-for-profit organization which brings together Broadway talent and celebrities to promote LGBT equality through song. Launched in June 2011, we have received support from from Carol Channing, Channing Tatum, Nathan Lane, Joy Behar, Wendy Williams and many others! Hetrick-Martin Institute (HMI) is the nation’s oldest and largest LGBTQ youth service organization, providing academic enrichment & job readiness programming, health & wellness services, arts & culture programming, hot meals and clean clothes. HMI provides a safe space where LGBTQ youth can express themselves, interact with a community of their peers and access resources to help them achieve their full potential. HMI serves more than 2,500 young people annually from more than 350 zip codes.
