Come to Coney Island this Independence Day for a fun-filled day! Between traditions like the Hot Dog Eating Contest and the fireworks show and the amusements and attractions, it’ll be your best Fourth of July yet.
Events:
10:00 AM: Join the crowd outside Nathan’s at Surf and Stillwell for the Annual July 4th International Hot Dog Eating Championship. After the prized yellow mustard belt is awarded, head over to Nathan’s to try one of their famous franks for yourself.
1:00 PM: The Coney Island Circus Sideshow is open from 1 PM to 8 PM, last ticket sold at 7 PM. It’s the last permanently housed place in the USA where you can experience the thrill of a traditional ten-in-one circus sideshow.
6:00 PM: Head over to MCU Park to watch the Brooklyn Cyclones take on the Aberdeen IronBirds. The first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive a free dri-fit shirt courtest of Midwood Ambulances.
9:45 PM: Get a spot on the beach and boardwalk for a perfect view of the Coney Island July 4th Fireworks Spectacular, which will be set off from West 21st Street.
