Our client, located East of Syracuse, is looking to hire a Director of Internal Audit to its management group. The new Director of Internal Audit will be expected to build a reputation as a trusted partner to the Audit Committee as well as senior management and related risk management functions within the company. He/she will provide strategic direction, leadership and management of the company’s corporate internal audit function and will assume principal responsibility for delivering a comprehensive risk-based audit plan, deploying audit resources efficiently and effectively throughout a risk assessment process and will utilize the audit process to further identify opportunity for the company to enhance its operation.

Job Requirements
The ideal candidate sought to be positioned for the role of Director of Internal Audit will hold 7 or more years of progressively responsible experience within public accounting and/or internal audit. He/she will be technically strong combined with leadership presence, strong financial and operational business acumen and demonstrated knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and SEC reporting requirements. Stellar communication skills, exceptional focus to details, deadlines and results and highly developed organizational skills contribute to make the candidate the ideal fit.
Salary and Benefit
Compensation: $85000 to $95000 per year
