Duties:
• Coordinate the organization, staffing, and operational activities for the Accounting Department, including financial record keeping and reporting, payroll, business licensing, revenue auditing, and customer service.
• Direct, coordinate and review the work plan for the Accounting Department; meet with staff to identify and resolve problems; assign work activities and projects; monitor work flow; review and evaluate work products, methods and procedures.
• Manage all day-to-day accounting transactions; including all Journal Transactions, schedules of Accrued expenses, indemnity… etc.
• Participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for the Accounting Division; identify resource needs; recommend and implement policies and procedures.
• Identify opportunities for improving service delivery methods and procedures; review with appropriate management staff; implement improvement.
• Verifying monthly payroll sheet prepared by administration department. Preparing monthly reports for both accounts payables and receivables. Intensive follows up with customers having past outstanding balances.
• Participate in the development and administration of the Accounting budget; forecast additional funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies; direct the monitoring of and approve expenditures; recommend adjustments as necessary.
• Prepare list of outstanding checks and follow-up. Calculate the monthly interests on Long Term bank loans and shareholder-subordinated loan.
• Monitoring banks; monitoring exchange rates for selecting the proper time to effect payments to foreign suppliers.
• Quarterly Financial Statements; like Balance Sheet, Income statement – Cost of Goods Manufactured Statement, Computing the marginal contribution for each manufactured item.
• Banks reconciliation; Find out the debited interests in banks statement and not booked in company books. Verify interest rates applied on the overdraft with contracts and make necessary adjustment entries.
• Participated in the preparation of the yearly budget.
• Preparing monthly trial balance with all schedules and breakdown sheets.
• Quarterly Financial Statements; like Balance Sheet, Income statement – Cost of Goods Manufactured Statement, Computing the marginal contribution for each manufactured item.
• Supervises 3 staff accountants.
Requirements:
Education:
• Business / Finance Degree
Professional Background:
• 4 to 5 years experience in Audit environment.
• Advanced Excel skills
• Have budget building experience
• Systems oriented
• Supervise, plan and coordinate the activities and operations of the Accounting Department.
