The 37th Asian American International Film Festival (AAIFF) will run from July 24th to August 2rd, 2014 in New York. Produced by Asian CineVision (ACV), AAIFF is the nation’s longest-running festival of its kind and a leading showcase for the best in independent Asian and Asian American film and video.
AAIFF explores a diverse range of themes relevant to the Asian and Asian American experience with the selection of 18 features and 33 shorts from over 21 countries and regions. The festival intends to address immediate and historical topics such as labor, global justice, representation and homecoming. Directed by Academy and Emmy award-winner Jeffrey D. Brown and executive produced by two-time Academy Awards winner Emma Thompson, SOLD will open the festival at Asia Society.
