Our Business Risk Services (BRS) practice, a specialty advisory practice within Assurance & Advisory Business Services, provides comprehensive risk services through a suite of strategic, outsourcing, and industry-focused operational solutions that help companies around the world evaluate and enhance their internal audit and risk management functions. Advisory Services/BRS seeks a consummate team player with a strong work ethic and excellent professional skills for the role of Advisory Services Manager – BRS.
Job Requirements
Manage the engagement team in providing comprehensive risk services through a suite of strategic, outsourcing, and industry-focused operational solutions that help companies around the world evaluate and enhance their internal audit and risk management functions. Review the internal audit work of Staff and Senior level employees within the Business Risk Services (BRS) practice. Conduct timely performance reviews for Staff and Senior BRS professionals and help to develop and guide staff and other junior internal audit professionals by providing effective performance feedback/training and ensuring team responsibilities are consistent with skills and developmental goals. Lead by example. Generate new business opportunities. Identify business development opportunities and assist Partners and Senior Managers on proposals and new business opportunities by drafting responses, participating in the proposal process, building client relationships, demonstrating knowledge of client business and communicating directly with target company Work with high-growth clients and other market leaders in industries such as retail, consumer products, pharmaceutical and industrial/manufacturing companies. Establish audit objectives and scope of work; establish the engagement budget; and take responsibility for the overall execution of the audit project through wrap-up and final report delivery.
Maintain a strong client focus by effectively serving client needs and developing productive working relationships with client personnel. Stay abreast of current business and economic developments and new pronouncements/standards relevant to the client’s business.
Display teamwork, integrity and leadership. Work with team members to set goals and responsibilities for specific engagements. Foster teamwork and innovation.
Utilize technology and tools to continually learn and innovate, share knowledge with team members and enhance service delivery. Understand EY and its service lines. Actively encourage team members to contribute ideas and identify potential opportunities to apply EY’s services. To qualify, candidates must have:
* a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
* Must have 5 years of relevant internal audit experience
* 3 years of relevant experience would be acceptable for those holding a relevant graduate degree
* Must have 2 years of public accounting experience
* Must have CPA, CA, CIA, or CISA certification
* Must have experience supervising and reviewing the internal audit work of other team member
* Must have strong skills in project management and engagement closure
* Experience and interest in recruiting and professional development
* Must be proficient with MS Office and Lotus Notes
* Must be available to travel at least 50% of the time, within and outside of the U.S. and work in excess of Standard hours when necessary.
* Second language skills and international business experience are preferred
* Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
* Demonstrated integrity, values, principles, and work ethic
