Opening artist: DJ Charles Young

Showtime @ 7:00 PM
Doors open @ 5:00 PM

About the Artists:
Singer/songwriter A-Lin’s prolific pop music career includes numerous awards and three nominations for Best Mandarin Female Singer at the Golden Melody Awards; six albums and two EPs released over the course of eight years; and performances in Australia, Canada, China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Incredibly popular in the Mandarin-speaking world, A-Lin is known as the “Born Diva.”

Formerly the lead vocalist of Golden Melody award-winning 90’s alternative rock band Luantan, Luantan Ascent has since added the positions of composer, lyricist, producer, arranger, recorder, mixer and film score composer to an already-impressive resume. Since becoming a solo artist in 2002, Ascent has released nine albums of his own while also composing scores for TV and film.

Taiwanese rapper, songwriter, and TV personality Dwagie, best known for his use of Taiwanese dialects in his performances, is the only rapper from Taiwan to be featured in TIME Magazine, CNN, Reuters, The Times, L’Agence France-Presse (AFP), Suddeutsche Zeitung, and the Discovery Channel. His ground-breaking album releases demonstrate his desire to unite two worlds: his first solo album, Lotus from the Tongue, is considered the first full-length rap album in Chinese; his award-winning second album, People, featured the Dalai Lama; and his third album, Refuse to Listen, featured a collaboration with Nas, uniting East and West.

About the Opening Artist:

Charles Young is a Taiwanese American EDM artist, and he is Taiwan Music Night’s Global Collaboration Artist. He’ll be performing mash ups and remixes of A-Lin, Luantan Ascent, and Dwagie!
