Asian Vegetarian Tasting Week – Savoring Taiwan Vegetarian Cuisine at Sheraton LaGuardia East Hotel
Back to Category Print this page

Sheraton LaGuardia East Hotel and Taiwan Tourism Bureau will partner with award-winning Taiwanese chefs from renowned Easy House Restaurant to present four mouth-watering full days of Asian and fusion vegetarian dish tasting at Deluge Restaurant.

For health, philosophy, beliefs or other reasons, vegetarian diets have long been an integral part of many Asian and East Asian diets. Good Taiwanese vegetarian foods enjoy the prestige of living up to the strict standards of East Asian cooking; exquisite texture, tempting aroma and delicious taste. Creative and confident chefs are able to work within established forms, match fresh, new ingredients with precise techniques to suit the ever-changing and discerning palates of the modern day gourmet.

Asian Vegetarian Tasting Week – Savoring Taiwan Vegetarian Cuisine will see taste buds treated to the perfect synthesis of East and West, and the delicate amalgamation of the best elements of Taiwanese, Chinese, Japanese, French and Italian cooking by Easy House Vegetarian Cuisine (Taiwan).

An unrivaled pioneer since the early 1990s, Sheraton LaGuardia East Hotel has earned its reputation as a connoisseur of Asian food, and leading presenter of Asian cuisine in the ethnically diverse community of Flushing and greater New York. Over the years, Sheraton LaGuardia East was first on the East Coast to introduce Ding Tai Fung – (‘Top Ten Best Restaurants’ by The New York Times) the Taiwanese dim sum powerhouse that needs no introduction, Hangzhou Fine Foods Festival, and many others, which diehard foodies will recall with a satisfying smack of the lips.

Asian Vegetarian Tasting Week – Savoring Taiwan Vegetarian Cuisine is also an extension of Sheraton LaGuardia East’s efforts to excel in the standards of a Starwood Hotel, and the implementation of the Starwood Sustainable Food and Beverage concept. By offering vegetarian alternatives, our esteemed guests can partake in the growing social consciousness towards ethical and environmental issues, and advance together towards a healthier being and better world in the interests of both current and future generations.
