Mercer Lofts
52 Mercer St, New York, NY 10013
Join us for a “Night Market” themed signature fundraising event by the Asian Mentoring Committee of BBBS of NYC: a night of great food, networking, goodwill, and entertainment for a good cause.
On this winter evening, we’re transforming the raw space of Mercer Lofts (located above the Pearl River Mart in the heart of SoHo) into a dynamic indoor night market loft party. Step out of the cold and into a place that transports you back to a loft party themed after one of Asia’s most classic attractions.
One ticket gives you the chance to experience:
Open bar all night*
Food sampling from local food vendors*
Dancing to the music of DJ Tentrum*
Games, including a raffle for prizes, a wandering palm reader, and more
Professional photography with themed backdrop and props*
And more
This lively and decadent night of food and entertainment is for the benefit of BBBS of NYC, which since 1904, has changed the lives of children for the better through one-to-one mentorships.
The goal of this annual event is to expand the reach of the New American Program to support more Big-Little mentoring
matches. The mission of the New American Program is to help immigrant youth overcome the unique obstacles they may face while adjusting to a new culture, language and customs. These youngsters’ feelings of loneliness, isolation and prejudice as well as the stress of negotiating between their cultural traditions and the urban American environment are addressed through relationships with their mentors. Participants in the program represent over 55 nations and 34 languages.
The eventual goal is to raise sustainable funding ($50,000 a year) to support an additional NAP social worker
to supervise additional matchers.
