A USER-GENERATED CHRONICLE OF THE 31 DAYS THE FAMED STREET ARTIST TOOK OVER NEW YORK CITY.
On October 1st 2013, the street artist known only as Banksy announced a month-long artist residency in New York City. BANKSY DOES NEW YORK is an exhilarating survey and detailed documentation of Banksy’s city-wide art exhibit, which took over the streets of New York, creating a wild and woolly scavenger hunt experience for New Yorkers. Director Chris Moukarbel (HBO’s Me @The Zoo) captures this month of madness, weaving together crowd-sourced, user-generated footage from Banksy-obsessed New Yorkers, whose response became part of the work itself.
The screening will take place at 12PM on Saturday, November 15th, followed by a Q&A with filmmaker Chris Mourkabel and producer Jack Turner.
