Job Description
The Derivatives team is responsible for providing 24*5 user and production support for all Front and Back Office Derivatives applications in the Bank. The team incorporates a Follow-The-Sun model, providing a 24-hour support desk managed in London, Singapore, Dubai, and New York.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
Responsible for stability of production environments ensuring all applications and interfaces have maximum availability. This includes FO, MO and BO.

  1. Receive calls/remedy tickets for user and application issues and troubleshoot them. If required, escalate to 2nd line for further investigation to keep within SLA.
  2. Act as a facilitator and coordinate between various teams like Infrastructure, 2nd line, IT Service to resolve complex issues and outages.
  3. Track incidents and provide regular updates to users on request status and progress.
  4. Manage/coordinate recurring issues and ensure long-term resolution.
  5. Highlight user training and education needs and maintain excellent user satisfaction.
  6. Highly motivated to learn and manage different applications across derivatives.
  7. Work as a global support liaison with teams in Dubai, London and Singapore.
  8. Document common issues for team’s perusal.
  9. Follow escalation procedures during outages and ensure root-cause analysis.
  10. Monitor and oversee End of Day batches and escalate to 2nd line in case of failures.

Qualifications & Skills
Experience/Skills Required:

  1. Should have 4+ years production support experience in Investment Banking.
  2. Working knowledge of FX Options/IRDs/Commodities/Credit Derivatives products.
  3. Should be able to balance business and systems knowledge effectively.
  4. Comfortable working in UNIX, Windows, Sybase and XML environments.
  5. Keenness to understand and resolve PL/Risk/Fixing/Settlement issues on his/her own.
  6. Strong team player, effective in communicating internationally and comfortable working closely with trading users.
  7. Experience in working with derivatives applications and interfaces.
  8. Ability to work under pressure and deliver excellent results.

Experience/Skills Preferred:

  1. Hands on Murex, Swapswire and Scrittura support.
  2. Good understanding of PL, Risk, Fixings and Payments workflow in Murex.
  3. Understanding of MXML and MReports.
  4. Experience in Murex EOD Batch Support, Back Office EOD, Accounting, Payments.
