Job Description
The Derivatives team is responsible for providing 24*5 user and production support for all Front and Back Office Derivatives applications in the Bank. The team incorporates a Follow-The-Sun model, providing a 24-hour support desk managed in London, Singapore, Dubai, and New York.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Responsible for stability of production environments ensuring all applications and interfaces have maximum availability. This includes FO, MO and BO.
- Receive calls/remedy tickets for user and application issues and troubleshoot them. If required, escalate to 2nd line for further investigation to keep within SLA.
- Act as a facilitator and coordinate between various teams like Infrastructure, 2nd line, IT Service to resolve complex issues and outages.
- Track incidents and provide regular updates to users on request status and progress.
- Manage/coordinate recurring issues and ensure long-term resolution.
- Highlight user training and education needs and maintain excellent user satisfaction.
- Highly motivated to learn and manage different applications across derivatives.
- Work as a global support liaison with teams in Dubai, London and Singapore.
- Document common issues for team’s perusal.
- Follow escalation procedures during outages and ensure root-cause analysis.
- Monitor and oversee End of Day batches and escalate to 2nd line in case of failures.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience/Skills Required:
- Should have 4+ years production support experience in Investment Banking.
- Working knowledge of FX Options/IRDs/Commodities/Credit Derivatives products.
- Should be able to balance business and systems knowledge effectively.
- Comfortable working in UNIX, Windows, Sybase and XML environments.
- Keenness to understand and resolve PL/Risk/Fixing/Settlement issues on his/her own.
- Strong team player, effective in communicating internationally and comfortable working closely with trading users.
- Experience in working with derivatives applications and interfaces.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver excellent results.
Experience/Skills Preferred:
- Hands on Murex, Swapswire and Scrittura support.
- Good understanding of PL, Risk, Fixings and Payments workflow in Murex.
- Understanding of MXML and MReports.
- Experience in Murex EOD Batch Support, Back Office EOD, Accounting, Payments.
