Job Description The Korea Society, a 51-year-old American non-profit organization dedicated to “the promotion of greater awareness, understanding and cooperation between the people of the United States and Korea,” seeks a qualified and dedicated program officer for its Korean Studies department. Areas of responsibility include the development and management of programs that further U.S. knowledge of Korean language, culture and history, and promote educational exchanges between Korea and the U.S.
Required and suggested skills:
* Bachelor’s degree
* 3-5 years program management experience
* Outstanding written and oral communication skills (English)
* Capacity to manage multiple ongoing time-sensitive projects
* Excellent computer literacy, including proficiency in Word and Excel
* Ability to work across all levels of an organization, both independently and as a team member
* Dedication to the goals, objectives, and mission of The Korea Society
* Education background a plus
* Korean proficiency a plus
Travel, evening and weekend hours may occasionally be required.
