Flushing Town Hall
137-35 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11354
For centuries, Chinese people have celebrated their Lunar New Year in local temple fairs. A public space is dedicated to host a spectacular bazaar where you find all kinds of festival goodies, vendors and performances. It’s a feast for your eyes and your palate at the same time.
Flushing Town Hall is reviving this tradition by making its historic building a space for a “Lunar New Year Bazaar”. It will bring back childhood-memories for people of Chinese descent, and offer an authentic cultural experience for others. Started off by the exciting lion dance, the fair goes on to present a string of dazzling performances, including opera hits, folk music and dance, magic and martial art. You can also join our traditional crafts workshops and bring your own handmade Chinese art home! Watch, laugh, create, and eat, bring the fun into the year of Ram.
Tickets: FREE (the event runs from 9:30am to 3:30pm)
