China Airlines will be flying the new 777-300ER aircraft on the Taipei-New York route from Feb 2. The new 777-300ER aircraft features luxurious Premium Business Class with 40 fully-flat seats, Premium Economy Class with 62 seats that have extra space, and 256 Economy Class seats for a total passenger capacity of 358. The safest, most comfortable service and the exquisite cultural ambience of the East will continue to support business, cultural and tourism exchanges between Taiwan and the US.

China Airlines has been operating Taiwan-US flights for over 40 years, stimulating not only the development of trade and tourism between the two countries but also contribution to the economic development and prosperity of both sides. Since the US issued visa-waivers for Taiwan in October, 2012, the number of people traveling from Taiwan to the US grew by over 30% and ushered in a new era in US-Taiwan relations. China Airlines first began flying to Los Angeles in 1971. New 777-300ER will now be used on this route with up to 14 flights a week for travelers to choose from.

The “Family Couch” service offered by China Airlines 777-300ER Economy Class, a first for Asia, is now available as well, with 10 rows of 30 seats that can be converted into sofa beds.
