Sip sake and enjoy light Japanese snacks while we look into the all-time favorite Japanese cat book I Am a Cat by Natsume Sōseki. Written over the course of 1904-6, this classic Japanese literature masterpiece is one of Natsume’s most famous works. The story depicts the lives of the people who surround this furry little observer from the stray kitten’s whimsical perspective. This book club is led by Dr. Satoru Saito, Associate Professor of Japanese Literature, Rutgers University.
