Steven De Castro’s films have shed light on some of Chinatown’s most important stories. Asian American Photographer Corky Lee curates this screening of one feature and two short films. FRED HO’S LAST YEAR (58 min) (The story of the avante gard jazz composer fighting cancer.); The DAVID WONG STORY (7 min) (about the release of Chinatown resident from prison after he was framed for murder); and a sneak peak of the upcoming BLOOD DRUM SPIRIT (20 min) (Jazz musicians from the United States journey to West Africa to reconnect with the birthplace of African American music.)
