The Permanent Mission of the Republic of Korea
335 East 45th Street, New York, N.Y. 10017
The Republic of Korea to the United Nations is hosting a concert and reception in order to create public awareness of the growing aging population and to counteract abuses against the elderly while promoting services to aid them. This is part of the UN effort to promote international awareness and promoting aid to the aging population worldwide.
The Grey Youth Choir–a renowned senior citizen choir group in Korea–is coming to perform at the United Nations Headquarters on 15 June 2015. The 48-members of the Choir, who are mostly in their 60s and 70s, have inspired many Koreans with their harmonies of ageless hope and inspiration. The Grey Youth Choir hopes to touch the hearts of many more by performing on the occasion of the global community’s observation of the 2015 World Elder Abuse Awareness Day.
