TEMPEI NAKAMURA
Composer and Pianist.
Tempei studies piano from age five until graduating elementary school. During junior high school, Tempei’s house is demolished from the Great Hanshin Earthquake. He leaves high school after six months. Tempei then leaves home and spends a period of time living by working at demolition yards and other physically demanding jobs. Later, he enters a music specialty school (high school). After his studies at Osaka University of Arts, he goes to study abroad in New York, currently residing in New York and Tokyo. In 2010 he does a solo recital at New York’s Carnegie Hall. From the same year, he begins his annual Europe tours, becoming a global performer. As his own project, Tempei periodically puts on his “Hidden Concert Tour” in the deep mountains of world heritage Kii Peninsula.
