The Kookmin University (Kookmin Ballet) from Seoul, Korea presents Ballet “Chunhyang,” a journey of a Korean fairytale of love, parting, and reunion expressed with classical and contemporary ballet. Kookmin*Ballet “Chunhyang” is the combination of Kukak (Korean Traditional Music) and modern music, adding lyricism and dynamic aspects to the dance that are unique.
The symbolic images of the traditional fairytale of “Chunhyang”, lead the audience to a fantastic place and time of love. Kookmin*Ballet “Chunhyang”, a National production of two decades with exciting live traditional music, beautiful Korean costumes and intriguing cultural elements will mesmerize the audience.
Kookmin*Ballet “Chunhyang” is choreographed by the artistic director and professor of Kookmin University Dance Department, Young Moon.
