Sunday, September 13 11AM to 6PM
Noguchi Museum
9-01 33rd Road (at Vernon Boulevard), Long Island City, NY 11106
The Noguchi Museum celebrates three decades as one of New York’s most beloved cultural institutions, with a diversity of programming that illuminates the arc of Isamu Noguchi’s career and his ongoing impact on art and design.
Families with children between the ages of 2 and 12 can participate in Open Studio, a drop-in program that includes activities in the galleries and hands-on art making workshops, anytime between 11am and 2pm. An informal public tour for visitors interested in exploring highlights of the Museum’s collection will take place in the afternoon at 2pm.
At 4pm, adults seeking a more in-depth look at Noguchi’s work may participate in the Museum’s Center of Attention program. Center of Attention conversations are one hour in length and focus on a single work of art.
