Our annual Space & Science Festival includes a special Family Astronomy Night on Friday, July 24, from 6:45pm to 10:00pm. View the night sky with telescopes on the flight deck of Intrepid, and learn all about exoplanets and the search for another Earth with Steve B. Howell, NASA astrophysicist and project scientist for the Kepler mission. And don’t miss Andrew Dawson’s performance of Space Panorama, a re-creation of the entire 1969 Apollo 11 moon landing with nothing more than his hands, a table and Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 10. This magical performance will take you from Houston to the moon and safely back to Earth.
The event is free but RSVP is needed: http://www.intrepidmuseum.org/
