Let’s celebrate Chuseok (September 27) by making popular dishes for this Korean Thanksgiving holiday! We will guide you through the basic cooking techniques and review the essential ingredients of Korean home cooking step by step. We’ll also share tips on how to revise and improvise from what you have available at home based on the dishes you learn in class. Of course, we’ll get into interesting bits about Chuseok and learn about how it’s celebrated in Korea!

Galbijjim 갈비찜 – Braised beef short ribs with jujube
Donggeurang ddang 동그랑땡 – Mini beef and vegetable patties with a dipping sauce
Japchae 잡채 – Stir-fried glass noodles with colorful vegetables
Seasonal banchan (side dish) based on market availability
Rice with seasonal vegetables
Songpyun 송편 – Chuseok holiday rice cakes with honey sesame filling
