AsianInNY’s Annual Fashion Show will feature a runway show to showcase Taiwanese designers: Malan Breton’s and Jessica Chen’s Spring/Summer 2016 collections. Come experience Taiwan’s fashion at Grand Central on September 26th 2015 from 1-2pm. This event is hosted by Taiwan Tourism in New York.
In addition to having Breton and Chen display their featured designs AsianInNY has recruited the international fashion industry’s accessory experts to contribute to the runway show. Hairstyles will be done by ECRU New York; makeup by Cakra Fashion Makeup & Skincare; with eyewear by TC Charton, the first eyewear company dedicated to the design of gorgeous styles specifically for Asian features.
The fashion show is part of “Celebrate Taiwan @ Grand Central Terminal’s Smithsonian Museum Day Live!“of event. One show only! Don’t miss it!!

* Malan Breton (Menswear and Womenswear)
Born in Taiwan, Malan Breton is the designer of one of “the 300 most recognized luxury brands in the world” and the “24th most famous celebrity from Taiwan in the world”. Malan Breton has been worn by A-list celebrities around the world including Scarlett Johannson, Ariana Grande, Michael Buble, and Fan Bing Bing, and has costumed AMC’s Breaking Bad , NBC’s Minute to Win It, and more.” His work has been featured in Vogue, ELLE, WWD, COSMOPOLITAN, W Magazine, Vanity Fair, and on every A – list red carpet in the world including the Academy Awards. * Jessica Chen (Womenswear)
Jessica was born in Taipei and moved to NYC in 1994. After 2.5 years of studying pre-med chemistry, Jessica Chen found her true calling and graduated from FIT with a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design. She started her fashion career with internships at Geoffrey Beene, Carolina Herrera and apprenticed with industry legend Ms. Pauline Trigere. Her experiences included as Head Designer for well-known Outerwear Brand “Andrew Marc” with designs sold in all major US department stores such as Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom’s. She’s currently Leather Design Director at S. Rothschild designing outerwear with licensee labels include Lauren Ralph Lauren, Elie Tahari, DKNY, Tommy Hilfiger, Rachel Roy among others. Private label brands include Zac by Zac Posen and Victoria’s Secret.
* Alexandra Peng Charton (Eyewear)
Born in Taiwan, moved to Argentina at age of ten, and came to United States to pursue her college degree, Alexandra Peng Charton is a veteran of the eyewear industry, spending more than 16 years designing and producing eyewear for global brands. However, despite helping countless clients find the perfect eyewear to match their needs, there was one person she could never find the right frame for: herself. So, with her vast knowledge of the eyewear industry and firsthand experience with difficulty finding well-fitting glasses, she started TC Charton in 2009 – the first North American brand that focuses solely on making distinctive, beautiful eyewear for Asians. * Jade Chiu (Accessories)
NY based Taiwan-native, Jade Chiu has contributed to Anna Sui, L.A.M.B., DVF, and BabyPhat. She is self taught and combines all of her art and fashion background to create her jewelry line.Succumbing to her long-held dream of creating designs around zodiac 12. * Wendy Chen (Jewelry)
Born and raised in Taiwan and Thailand, she later established foundation of her designer career in NYC. She began designing jewelry and accessories for a NYC based Jeweler Jimmy Crystal New York in 2008 who sold her collections worldwide from all over US/NYC, and to as far as UAE, Europe, and Asia.
