Singer, songwriter and poet, renowned Chinese folk musician.
He became blind when he was nine.
Zhou was honored with Best Lyric and Best Folk Music by Chinese Music Awards in 2008, thanks to album “Chinese Children.” He was also honored with Poetry Prize by People’s Literature Magazine in 2011 thanks to the poetry “Love without speaking,” and Best Folk Musician by Chinese Media Music Awards the same year, thanks to album “Cattle and Sheep down the Mountain.”
Zhou is a popular musician in music festivals across Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Europe, including Rangers’ Music Festival in Taiwan, Arts Festival and Renaissance Music Festival in Hong Kong , Reeperbahn Festival in Germany, and Festival d’Avignon in France, etc.
He starred and dubbed background music in movie “Beijing Blues” in 2012. It won Best Picture, Best Editing and Best Cinematography in the 49th Taiwan Golden Horse Award (2012).
