At the Friends Academy, which offers Japanese language instruction for young children through high school aged children, there will be a Mochi-Pounding Festival to celebrate the New Year. There will be two sessions at different times during the day; each session is limited to 50 participants. The participation fee is $10 (children under one year of age can join for free). Guests can also enjoy a “panel theater” screening about the Chinese zodiac and special events related to the Japanese New Year. Reservations required.
