New York City Department of Design & Construction
30-30 Thomson Ave, Atrium (entrance on 30th Place), Long Island City, NY 11101
DDC builds many of the civic facilities New Yorkers use every day. As the City’s primary capital construction project manager, we provide communities with new or renovated structures such as firehouses, libraries, police precincts, courthouses and senior centers. We also build and design replacement components for the City’s complex infrastructure system, improving the City’s sewage system and ensuring that New Yorkers will always have access to clean drinking water. To successfully manage this portfolio, valued at $10 billion, we partner with other City agencies, as well as with emerging and world-renowned architects, engineers and contractors whose experience and creativity bring efficient, innovative and environmentally-conscious design and construction strategies to the projects we build.
