FUN/DAMENTAL KOREAN SAUCES
Take a saucy approach to a world of Korean flavors! In this workshop, you will learn to make six easy, fundamental Korean sauces and feel comfortable in mixing and matching a variety of flavors, from tangy, spicy, refreshing to earthy, nutty, and hearty. Then learn to apply the sauces to a variety of Korean ingredients from sea vegetables to fresh, seasonal ones to create traditional Korean dishes as well as your own dishes at home. Come hungry because we’ll sit down for a full spread of Korean home meal at the end of this workshop!

Ssamjang 쌈장 – Soy paste dip with crudites
Miyeok chomuchim 미역 초무침 – Seaweed salad with spicy gochujang ‘vinaigrette’
Wooeong jorim 우엉 조림 – Braised burdock root in sweet soy garlic sauce*
Ggwari gochu jjim 꽈리고추찜 – Steamed shishito peppers with sesame seasoning*
Maeun dubu jorim 매운 두부 조림 – Braised tofu and Korean sweet potato in red pepper seasoning
Mu saengchae 무생채 – Spicy, tangy radish salad in Kimchi-style dressing
Deulggae dwenjang guk 들깨 된장국 – Dwenjang (Korean miso)-based soup with perilla seed powder
Hyeonmi chapssal bap 현미찹쌀밥 – Sweet brown rice with seasonal vegetable
Sujeonggwa 수정과 – Cinnamon and ginger tea
