Violinist Julia Choi has been recognized and praised by critics as an emerging young artist of impassioned energy, commanding stage presence, and musical integrity. At 23 years of age, she has already performed as a section member of the Philadelphia Orchestra and the San Diego Symphony, and has worked in various orchestras with many renowned conductors, including Alan Gilbert, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Zubin Mehta, Esa-Pekka Salonen, and James Levine. In pursuit of her ultimate goal of becoming a versatile and well-rounded musician, Julia Choi has performed for audiences as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral musician across three continents. Julia and sister Jennifer, a cellist, perform together.
