This follow-up to director Atsushi Funahashi’s critically-acclaimed 2012 documentary continues his investigation into the aftermath of the 3/11 Fukushima nuclear plant meltdown by following a community of displaced people from Futaba who continue to live in temporary housing. The vocalized frustration of these refugees caused by lack of compensation and bureaucratic inefficiency reveals the high cost of nuclear energy and reminds us with a sense of urgency that this crisis remains unresolved. In recognition of the 5th anniversary of the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake we invite director Funahashi to present his powerful documentary and discuss the ongoing recovery situation through a post-screening Q&A. Followed by a reception.
