Presented in collaboration with Korean Cultural Center NY, Korean world music ensemble Jeong Ga Ak Hoe presents their newest project Akdan Gwangchil – a contemporary interpretation of the high spirits of Korean folk music from Hwanghae-do, the western province of North Korea. In celebration of 70 years of Korea’s liberation from Japanese colonial rule, JGAH aims to express the true meaning of liberation and South Korea’s desire for reunification.
