2016 CONFERENCE
“Checkpoints: Communicative Consciousness”
FEATURING PERFORMANCES by
Adriel Luis
Subhah Agarwal
Soomi Kim
Lee Jacob Hilado
In reflections upon our history, action and inaction, we come across checkpoints—points of demarcation. We use this year’s theme, CHECKPOINTS: Communicating Consciousness, to characterize the collaborative, educational space we are working to build. But, also as a space to investigate our own discomforts and our own patterns of behavior and thought. We will use this space to engage in necessary dialogue, to devise strategies of action, and, ultimately, to help each other heal.
