Join a table read of When Night Turns to Day, a film that follows a woman’s journey into kendo, the Japanese martial art meaning “the way of the sword.” An original screenplay written and directed by Amy Guggenheim, a New York-based filmmaker and kendo practitioner, When Night Turns to Day is an erotic love story where kendo unravels the relationship of two young people.
The table read features actors Danijela Stajnfeld, Jeffrey Omura, Austin Ku, Saori Goda, Yoshi Amao, Ross Noyes, and Grant Neale. The reading will be followed by a talk and wine reception.
