Please join us for a conversation between MOCA President Nancy Yao Maasbach and Helen Wan, an author and lawyer, on Asian Americans working to break the bamboo ceiling. Followed by a book signing.
Speaker Bio:
Helen Wan is the author of The Partner Track about a woman of color competing for partnership at a powerful law firm, and how race, sex, and class impact the climb up the corporate ladder. The book became the subject of a Washington Post Magazine cover story, is now taught in universities and law schools, and was optioned for television. Ms. Wan has written for CNN, The Washington Post, The Daily Beast, and The Huffington Post. She is a frequent speaker on women in the workplace and diversity and inclusion, and has presented her work at many universities, corporations, law firms, and leadership events around the country. She is currently at work on her second novel.
