The documentary, which will be screened in full, follows the New York dance company, EyeKnee Coordination and a large cast of international singers and musicians on its journey across Japan to perform the piece “Will this moment ever let go?,” a collaboration between Norwegian composer Magnar Åm, and the renowned Norwegian poet Jan Erik Vold.
Norwegian dancer and director Einy Åm Sparks discusses and screens her latest dance film Embracing Hiroshima, a documentary which merges dance, contemporary and traditional music, concert performance, and animation to honor the world’s enormous peacekeeping efforts in the wake of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
