The very Symptom or Contemporaneity of Korean Contemporary art in 1990s: Focusing on Three Artists from Seoul, Bahc Yiso, Kim Beom and Chung Seoyoung
This talk is focusing on three Korean artists, Beom Kim, Seoyoung Chung and Yiso Bahc and their works produced from the late 1990s to the early 2000s. Three artists and their experiences with Korean society and culture witnessed the pivotal shift in Korean contemporary art during the turn of the century. Each has developed a strong allegorical language that lucidly records the profound changes that occurred during this period in Seoul. This event is collaborated with Tina Kim Gallery in New York and the exhibition entitled “Two Hours: Three Artists from Seoul, Bahc Yiso, Kim Beom and Chung Seoyoung “
